Nick and Keyna have served in campus ministry at Northwestern since 2006. They both attended Ohio State University and worked with the campus ministry of Cru for several years before switching full time to AIA in 2010. Nick has a Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and is the AIA team leader at Northwestern. Nick and Keyna established AIA as an official ministry at NU and have been instrumental in seeing it grow. Their children, Sophia (12), Micah (9), and Luke (7), love hosting their “friends” at their house when students visit for Bible study, meetings, and meals.

Jamie and Kinzi arrived in Chicago in 2012 to serve at Northwestern and work toward reaching every campus in Greater Chicago. Jamie graduated from Miami University in 2007 and recently finished his Masters of Divinity at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He has served with AIA since 2007. Kinzi attended Indiana University and served in campus ministry with Greeks from 2006 until she married Jamie in 2011 and switched to AIA. They are the parents of Tripp (4) and Jet (2). Currently both Tripp and Jet are aspiring to be ninjas someday.

Lance Evans was raised in Long Beach, California, and spent two years at The Ohio State University before finishing his studies at California State University, Long Beach, with a B.S. degree in Recreational and Leisure Studies. After a year of Masters work in Sports Management at Indiana University, Lance felt the call to pursue full-time ministry with Athletes in Action and joined our team in August 2015. He has played a key role in growing AIA ministries at schools downtown and was just recently certified as a Local Team Leader with AIA. He is currently getting his Masters of Divinity at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Parker Settecase graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2014 with a degree in Kinesiology. During his time at NIU he wrestled heavyweight and was also heavily involved with AIA. After college Parker interned with AIA at NIU and then spent a year serving with AIA in Puerto Rico in 2016. He has now joined the AIA Chicago team and is currently getting his Masters in Theological Studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Parker has already made a huge impact on our team with his witty humor, stellar blog posts, and ability to get into spiritual conversations with literally anyone. We think the mustache helps.

Lauren Sharp was raised in Dike, Iowa, and spent her college cross country and track career at DePaul University. She graduated in 2017 with degrees in Journalism and Communication and Media. In her senior year, after much consideration about how God wanted to use her unique gifts and experiences, she decided to serve as a first year intern with AIA Chicago. Lauren is now in her second year and cannot wait to continue being a part of the growth of new ministries downtown.

Stephen Shull is a life-long Evanston/Chicago resident. He graduated from Northwestern University in 2017 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Stephen was also captain of the swim team and earned the Big Ten Sportsmanship award his senior year. After college Stephen volunteered with AIA for 6 months before heading to the Air Force in March of 2018. After finishing top of his Basic Military Training class, Stephen decided not to get commissioned and return to the city. Shortly after returning home he felt called to join our team as an intern. Stephen has been an absolute vital part of AIA’s growth downtown and specifically at UIC. Stephen joined our team and (as some would say) that’s a big win for the ‘cats.

Bethany Hart graduated with a degree in Biology from Roosevelt University. During her time at Roosevelt Bethany played softball and also pioneered the ministry of AIA on her campus. After graduation Bethany moved to Evanston to work at NorthShore hospital. While there, she took time to consider where God could best use her next. Eventually Bethany decided to finish her job at NorthShore and intern with AIA for the 2018-2019 school year. Bethany’s heart for the city and the experience she has pioneering new campuses has made her an exceptional addition to our team. We are excited to see how the Lord continues to use her to grow AIA’s women’s ministry.

Michael Roberge was raised in Murrysville, Pennsylvania and spent his college soccer career at Northwestern University. Mike graduated in 2017 with a degree in Political Science and moved downtown to work with Bernstein Private Wealth Management. While working at Bernstein, Mike volunteered with AIA at UIC and hosted events for students downtown. After much consideration and reflection, Mike felt the call to pursue interning with Athletes in Action for the 2018-2019 school year. Mike’s love of the Lord and dedication to the gospel have been an immense asset to our team. We are excited to see the Lord continue to use Mike in the lives of men across the city and in our partnership with Campus Outreach at UIC.
